The Transport Salaried Staffs' Association or TSSA is the British Trades Union for some 32,000 clerical and administrative staff employed on Britain's railways and other assorted parts of the transport sector. It was formed in 1897 as the National Association of General Railway Clerksand became the Railway Clerks' Association in 1899; in 1951 it adopted its current name when it realised that railways were no longer a growth industry.
