It's a warm pressure that
builds up from just below
your eyes as you
feel the tears collect
and you slowly become
terrified to blink.

Breathing softer and quicker
as you try to maintain control.
Before it all slips through
your tightly clasped fingers.

Your eyes close and the tears fall
as you open your mouth to take
the first deep breath
before letting it out,
one sob at a time.
