"Spirit-filled" is a term used by Pentecostal Christians (e.g. Assemblies of God) to indicate having experienced the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues as chronicled in Acts 2:4. It is disputed whether or not someone can claim being "filled with the spirit" if they can not or do not speak in tongues. The concept of being spirit-filled is a source of consternation between the denominations.
