A message found in the liner notes of Autechre's album Tri Repetae++. The cryptic reference is a bit of a warning to listeners that some of the songs contain swaths of white noise and little electronic clicks that would make the uninitiated think there was something wrong with their amplifier, or the CD / vinyl record itself. This warning is particularily important for a song like Second Bad Vilbel, which begins with alternating two-second bursts of static and silence. For a moment, you might believe that you had put a CD-ROM into your CD player, until the other synths kick in and build the rest of the song.
