'The King's Quest Companion' is a
book by
Peter Spear, co-author of
The Space Quest Companion. There are four editions of the book. The first edition covered the games up to
Kings's Quest IV: The Perils of Rosella, and each consecutive edition has featured an additional game in the series.
'The King's Quest Companion' is not only a walkthrough tome for the games featuring complete scorings charts and maps. It also contains the complete games as short stories. If you thought that Askeladden picked up many items, marvel at how many King Graham can pick up in the 23 pages constituting King's Quest I: The Quest for the Crown! The stories must of course follow the storyline of the games to the point, no matter how unrealistic it is. Fortunately for the reader, though, Graham never dies from standing on the wrong side of a rock in the book.
