(Very) Brief History:
The club was founded in 1880 as Gorton Athletic it became a professional football club in 1887 and changed it's name to Ardwick FC, finally becoming Manchester City in 1894
City is currently in the english Premiership and is managed by Kevin Keegan. Keegan has a reputation as an 'attacking' manager who worries more about scoring goals than defending against them, and I think this has shown during the last season where City have slipped slowly down the league only just ensuring they weren't relegated to the Championshp three games from the end of the season with a 1-0 win over Newcastle United.
