A difficult concept to believe all the time, but I firmly believe that the free distribution of music on the internet via services like Napster and Gnutella actually helps musical artists sell more.
I just wish now that I could directly support artists, rather than giving record companies most of my money and hoping that enough filters down to artists that I truely appreciate. I'd be more willing to give my money directly to most artists.
Why hasn't an artist-driven music distribution system on-line been created?..
