Good as a sushi filling. The Japanese like a fried egg on their burgers. Tamagotchi both means "special friend" and is a pun on tamago, egg, and the suffic -tchi, which implies a pertinance to a digital watch (that is,&uses an LCD). Yet another example of Japanese word economy and silly extra-lingual puns, such as how Tenchi Muyo means "this end up" in certain contexts in addition to "useless Tenchi" and "heaven to earth no good" (which refers to the plot)
