On Why Being Immortal Might Not be So Wonderful
Think about it. You're
free of the
constraints of
life,
forever liberated to walk this earth forever...why in the name of the
Goddess would you
want to do that?
Most of us are pretty fed-up with this
world as it is, and to be forced to live forever would be
punishment. I'm not saying that being immortal wouldn't be amusing, for a short time, but after a while, I would want to rest. Add to that the possibility that your
soul-mate or
love is not immortal, and will eventually die, to leave you alone for eternity.
I just don't think that immortality is such a wonderful thing.
