In classical
astrology there are seven planets: the
Moon,
Mercury,
Venus, the
Sun,
Mars,
Saturn and
Jupiter. In Astrology the Moon and the Sun are planets and
Earth is not. Originally, the planets were defined as visible objects in the
sky whose position would change relative to the background of fixed
stars.
The outer planets which cannot be seen with the naked eye and were discovered in the past three centuries have since been incorporated into astrology; however, because their years are so long there is still debate about the forces they represent.
