Well today is
Halloween and the school that I am does not allow the students to dress up. I guess I understand the reason for that as some costumes could be
offensive, but let the students have fun with some clear
ground rules.
Another
school system has established some basic rules for those that would like to
dress up.
Theme cannot be gore
Theme cannot be destruction
Cannot have a full face covering mask
Must be recognizable
The only problem with these rules is that they could be up for interpretation. I mean what really is gore and what is destruction? I guess it would be up to who set the rules, but it would seem that you might have a lot of upset students and it might just be easier to ban
dress up.
