Hungarian is said to be one of the most difficult languages to learn. Maybe it is perhaps that it is not similar to any other European languages, or unlike many languages it's said as it's spelled - that is also what could make it easier.

Due to wars and being so close to other languages new words have been integrated over the years. German and Austrian are most common to have been integrated, English is slowly catching up though.

The Alphabet

There are two versions of the Hungarian alphabet, a version that is taught currently in schools and then a version that is the 'official' version, but not common.

Standard/Taught Alphabet

This is the following alphabet that is taught in school, does not look like much of a difference but it excludes some of the last letters

This is the 'official' Hungarian alphabet, native Hungarians refer to it as the 'old' alphabet
