"Jacques Chirac was shot in the head by a fascist named Jean-Marie Le Pen"

On the day I came home from America.
women cried in the streets about Hell
They Cried and Cried as if she had died
but in the mourning rain, it all looked the same

credit card companies for my job
air for my tires
wires, wires, wires

I stopped one and asked if this was the end,
and she looked me in the eye,
"boy you're too young to know about anything,"
and then she said goodbye

goodbye to the rain,
goodbye to the wires,
goodbye to the credit cards and
goodbye to the liars
I’m 30 years old if I’m a day

I went back to my childhood farm, to find life and love
in the farmhouse I found just oil and old clothes
a tattered old flag and a sock filled with fresh cloves
I used to laugh when they said you can't go home again.
I thought the boy in me would never end,
but now it's just the end of days

goodbye to the rain,
goodbye to the wires,
goodbye to the credit cards and
goodbye to the liars
I’m 30 years old if I’m a day

buried my head in perfumed lace,
before I ever saw her face
she took my hands and read my fortune 500 namecards
brought me home and introduced me to her stepmom

Somehow she erased all the pain and we stood together
outside soaking and smiling in the rainit’s America

P.S. this is not bad noder poetry... it´s rock and roll... cant you just hear the guitars and Hammond B-3?
