When someone threatens you, I have found it is best to laugh. Besides having the benefit of possibly confusing your would-be attacker, it is scientifically proven that laughing makes one feel better.

In all seriousness, though, if someone threatens me, I find it best to just give them a look like they're crazy and smile, or laugh a bit. I abhor violence. It seems like such a silly thing, a waste of energy. If someone wants to hit me, it amuses me that it's their only way to articulate show their displeasure.

I would be genuinely pleased if someone walked up to my someday, looked me in the eye and said, "Excuse me, Sir, but I am upset with you and here is why: (insert reasons here). I do not want to discuss it, I do not want to compromise, I simply want to make you aware of my feelings towards you."
