Yet another variant on the martini. A fine gin that, like Tanqueray 10, exhibits a complex of herbal flavors, complements the addition of a stronger herbal, in this case, green Chartreuse.
Pour ingredients over crushed ice and shake.
Strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
I mix this drink for myself with slightly more than just a dash of chartreuse, about ¼ ounce. However, I favor drinks that are strongly herbal.
