Starting with the 2002/2003 season with the addition of the Houston Texans, the NFL decided to realign its divisions. The new AFC East now looks like the following:

Any knowledgeable football fan will tell you that this is the strongest division in the AFC. The New England Patriots are the Super Bowl Champions, the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets have always been in the playoff hunt for as long as I can remember. The Buffalo Bills, although not a strong team now, used to be the most dominant AFC team, going to four consecutive Super Bowls, led by future Hall of Fame Quarterback Jim Kelly. The Indianapolis Colts are no longer part of this division. They are now part of the AFC South.
