The Blundstone 500 is the iconic Australian boot. Blundstone Pty Ltd have been manufacturing this elastic-sided boot since 1870, after John Blundstone set up shop in Melbourne. The 500 does not have a steel toe-cap, but has their standard reinforced toe. The upper is a single piece of "stout brown" oil tanned bovine leather. Blundstone's patented x-tra version of their Shock Protection System is integrated into the slip resistant, oil and acid resistant, heat resistant, TPU sole. Men's and women's sizes are available from 2 to 13, including half sizes up to 10.5 for wider feet. 500s can be purchased from any decent work-wear or country clothing store, and pricing can range from $50 to $150.
