An ice cream dessert sold at Arby's in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It may still be available in some places, although I haven't seen one in years. It consists of vanilla ice cream and a crushed treat of your choice: Heath Bar, Oreo Cookies, M&Ms, Reece's Pieces, and other such delights. It's served in a milkshake-sized plastic cup and is best eaten with a spoon when it's first served and with a straw when it's melty. In fact, Arby's will give you a flimsy plastic blue spoon when you order the dessert. If you get an overly frozen one, beware that the cheap spoon doesn't snap when you try to take your first bite.

It is analogous to a Dairy Queen Blizzard or a Butterfinger McFlurry, but much better and more filling. I weep for the loss of the Polar Swirl and pray that it returns in my lifetime.
