Trust in Me
A poem I came up with when I was thinking about a story in which both characters trusted each other so much, that they never even considered the idea of abandoning one another. The poem may sound dark, but it's really not... or the idea isn't, at least. The words do make it sound emo though... Well, whatever. Enjoy.
Subtle darkness-
Shatter!
Stars-
Begin assault!
Light-
Reach through the shadows!
Dark clouds-
Break apart!
Listen to my voice, my friend,
Forget thy fear inside.
Do not tremble,
Do not shake,
Just hide here at my side.
I'll give you warmth and comfort;
I'll protect you with my life.
You see,
Because I trust you with mine.
