Actor and martial arts specialist, born in Glasgow, Scotland, UK on August 23, 1974.

When he was a young boy, his father was a huge Bruce Lee fan. Because of this, Ray watched him too and became hooked on martial arts, and over the years trained to emulate the artists he saw on TV. He is lefthanded, has a second-degree black belt in Wushu, and came in 2nd place at the 1995 world championships.

In his short movie career, he already worked with some of the most famous names, including George Lucas, Patrick Steward and Tim Burton.
He started his movie career in Mortal Kombat II: Annihilation (1997), as a stunt-double for Rayden. After that, he auditioned as a stunt-double for Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace (1999), but George Lucas liked him so much that Ray ended up playing a major villain, Darth Maul.
He was a stunt-double for the Headless Horseman in Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow (1999), and starred as the slimy Toad in Brian Singer's X-Men (2000). He currently is cast as Iron Fist, a movie based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name.
