Zoutelande is a small
village in the
southwest of
The Netherlands, in the
province called
Zeeland.
The
town has a
population of almost 1500.
Zoutelande is located at the end of the Westerschelde, a river which ends in the North Sea. Because it is situated at water, thousands of tourists visit Zoutelande each year. In the summer, the population is near 10000. Most tourists that visit come from Germany, or the Dutch province of Brabant. Because of this, most shops are aimed at tourists. The town would probably not exist anymore if it wasn't for the tourists.
Zoutelande has 2 churches, 1 supermarket, a few shops, and lots of bars, hotels and campings. Because it is located at water, you can go to the beach or walk through the dunes.
