A cheap (by Upper West Side sit-down eatery standards) Chinese eatery on Amsterdam Avenue between 81st and 82nd streets. Very popular with college students in the area due to the unlimited free wine (albeit cheap wine) given with dinner. It's usually quite crowded, especially between 9-10:30, and overrun with Columbia University students, who are characterized by their plaid n' khaki mode of dress, loutish over-projection of voice, paleness of hair and skin, and a complete and utter inability to hold their liquor. Recommended dishes include Sesame Chicken, Lake Ting-Tung Shrimp, Cashew Chicken, and Scallion Pancakes. Tip: delay ordering for awhile in order to imbibe as much free wine as you see fit.
