There are more than 200
Aboriginal languages, the majority of which have been lost to time. Roughly 40 or so are still known or being revived. The rest live in
history. This link node is to provide a jumping point to information about the various
languages of
Aborigines spoken. This is not just a cut and pasted list I found somewhere, I've been adding to it, and will continue to do so as I find more. The
languages themselves are quite beautiful, and an example of the indigenous
Australian people's
dreamings. If I offend any
Australian Aborigine by mispelling their language, please let me know and it will be corrected.
These will be linked as I have time to create at least a few things to say about each language. If you feel the desire to create a node about some of these languages, be my guest, just let me know so I can link it. Please take into consideration that it will take me a little while to get this node fully functional in terms of links to
useful info.
