Let's not forget the British version!

In the sunny1 UK, the Apprentice is presented by Alan Sugar, who describes the process of the show as a "job interview from hell" (for the candidates, obviously). Sugar is in fact well known for his one-liners on the show, which include "I'm no Mary Poppins" (?) and "I've written books on advertising... cheque books.2". The format of the show is essentially the same as the US version - Sugar's two assistants are Nick Hewer and Margaret Mountford. The opening music is "Dance of the Knights" by Sergei Prokofiev, which is at http://youtube.com/watch?v=DUmq1cpcglQ, and the boardroom music (which I don't know the name of but I assume was composed especially for the show) can be found at http://youtube.com/watch?v=eSYP5Lo7ufo.

First aired in 2005, there have been four series, and a fifth series is expected to be aired in 2009. The winners of the four series commissoned thus far have been Tim Campbell, Michelle Dewberry, Simon Ambrose, and Lee McQueen.

1Not really.

Update: apparently, the boardroom music is "You're Fired to the End" by Dru Masters.
