Belting is what I got in fifth grade when I didn't turn my report on cash crops in on time. The teacher called my parents and left a message. My dad, saying he'd take care of it, had me bend over the side of my bed that night while I cried and he whipped my back with his brown leather belt.
"This will hurt me more than it will hurt you," he said beforehand.
He was wrong.
We went to get pizza afterwards to show that, as my parents said, "we love you all the same."
