The Chicago Wolves are a hockey team in the International Hockey League (IHL). They joined the IHL in 1994.

Althought they are a minor league team, the Wolves have no official affiliation with an NHL team. Most of the Wolves players are signed by the Wolves, as opposed to many other minor-league teams who's rosters are stocked by NHL clubs. However, some NHL teams, such as the Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, Calgary Flames, and New York Islanders send the Wolves a few players from time to time.

The Wolves won the Turner Cup in 1998--that is the IHL Championship series.

The Wolves play their home games at the AllState Arena--formerly known as the Rosemont Horizon. Their team mascot is Skates, a bad-ass Wolf who skates around and motivates the crowd.

Some of the great Wolves from the past few years include Steve Maltais, Wendell Young, former Blackhawk Troy Murray, and former Blackhawk Al Secord. The Wolves team colors are maroon, black, white, and gold.
