The four most popular girls in High School rule the school. On the birthday of Liz Purr (Charlotte Ayanna) the other three kidnap her as a prank. While doing so Courtney (Rose McGowan) stuffs a jaw-breaker into Liz's mouth as they are shoving her into the trunk of a car. When they open the trunk to surprise Liz they get the surprise. Liz is dead. She choked to death on the jaw-breaker. Courtney quickly convinces Julie (Rebecca Gayheart) and Marcie (Julie Benz) to cover it up. Their plans get interupted by Fern Mayo (Judy Greer) and the girls turn her into Vylette and make her popular to keep her mouth shut. But Vylette runs out of control and Julie's conscious keeps eating at her.
All the while Detective Vera Cruz (Pam Grier) is searching for Liz's killer.
I originally watched this because of Rose McGowan, but it was pretty good. I'll give it 2.5/4.0.
