A supercar from Italian manufacturer Ferrari, the F50 is the second in the grand line of F-series supercars. Utilising much of Ferrari's Formula 1 experience the F50 is a car that's not shy about its racing heritage in either its looks, design or performance. The chassis is made of lightweight Cytec Aerospace carbon fibre chassis (225lbs and with an amazing torsional rigidity of 25,677lb. ft/degree) and is a central part of the car, which is where the driver sits. The fuel tank is positioned in a protected place behind the driver, in front of the engine and the rear axle assembly. The result is a near perfect 42/58% front/rear weight distribution, which aids the car in its acceleration. Definitely one of the great supercars of all time.
