This was some strange guy who was wandering around the Santa Monica Pier in California one weekday in the early 1980's when I was hanging out there with my mom and my older sister. He was dressed in a pink leotard, pink tights, a pink cape, and a pink mask over his eyes. There was also a bright pink letter P on the front of his shirt.

I was walking along the side of the pier, at the end that still has sand underneath it instead of water. And this guy apparently became aware that my family and I laughed as he walked by. So, he stopped and proceeded to talk to me. He stood with his hands on his hips and his legs wide apart, as if he was attempting some sort of superhero stance. He then asked me my name, asked if the lady with me was my mother, and then when I said yes he proclaimed, "I am Captain Pink, and you better listen to your mother! Be good and avoid evil!" Then the weirdo went galloping off.
