A great line from the Bjork song Alarm Call.

"...I want to sit on a mountaintop
With a radio and good batteries
And play a joyous tune
And free the whole human race from suffering."

I was listening to this song when I had a little epiphany of my own.

I was in the rainforest in Malaysia, sitting at the top of an observation tower. I sat cross-legged with my CD player on, watching the mist roll over the hills, watching the birds glide, listening to the monkeys in the tress below.

I began to smile.

Then the storm started. It started to pour. I had a roof over my head, but the refreshing coolness of the rain slipped in to the tower. The music was perfect. I got up, and started dancing.

I have never felt more alive.
