Aqualish is a companion and
guardian of the criminal
Doctor Evazan. Like most Aqualish, he has a nasty disposition and tendency toward
violence. Baba is a smuggler and provides
transportation for Evazan. While in the cantina on
Mos Eisley, Evazan starts a fight with the young
Luke Skywalker, the result of the fight being that Ponda Baba gets his arm sliced off by
Obi-Wan Kenobi.
