My father and I are quite different. I was the first person in our family to go to university, he doesn't understand what I do at work and it's just not the same as it was when I was a child.

But I still visit a couple of times a year (I'm rather far away) and last time we went out for a walk with my nephew in tow.

My father and my nephew are racing around the forest where we're walking, when my nephew comes running back to me, holding out a handful of sweets. He pounces of me and squeals "Magic Trees!", and for a moment I'm 4 again as I watch my father take his hand and point out a tree to him. My nephew runs off looking around the tree until my father gets there, reachs up into the tree, and pulls down a handful of sweets (which of course he has filled from a bag in his pocket moments before).

My nephew giggles and runs back to get me to look for magic trees.

I miss that side of my father. He's still using Fruit Pastilles for it as well.
