Hi everybody! I hope you’re all doing well. I’m sorry I haven’t written anything in awhile but school, soccer and softball have been keeping me real busy. Friday is my last day of school and I can’t wait for summer to begin! Next year I’ll be in the seventh grade. I hope it’s as much fun as the sixth was.

I wrote a couple of more poems. The first one is called "Moon Shine” and was submitted to Creative Communications and will be published in one of their books called "A Celebration of Young Poets" in the fall. You can read more about them at http://www.poeticpower.com/. The second one is called “Midnight Sky” and I worked on it some with my dad. I hope you like them.

Moon Shine

I look to the skies to be released from this mundane life,
if only for a second.
The illuminated sphere of hope is my peace of mind,
my window to bliss.
Majestic shivers runs down my spine,
I am paralyzed by it,
I am entranced by it.
Nothing can withstand this beauty and hope
This is true wonder for I have found
My single sanctuary

Midnight Sky

Memories are like meteorites
tracking their way across the midnight sky
until they crash into oblivion and in their broken pieces
I see through their reflections
reminders of everything I have ever known

Or that I think I’ve known,
because, just like the midnight sky
more memories are sure to come
and shed a bit of light through the darkness

And the sparks that they send
will start a fire
and the fire burns bright
until its embers are carried away by the wind
to start new fires
that turn into meteorites
that track their way across the midnight sky.

I hope I get to see a lot of you over the 4th of July.

Bye! /me says, usual disclaimers apply.
