A "front group" is a company or organization created for the purpose of another organization to do business as. Meaning it is an alias for another company or organization. Generally, front groups are either political organizations created to hide the true proponents of an idea or proposal or are created for legal reasons. A political examples is, the Coalition for Vehicle Choice is a front group Detroit car manufacturers. Legal examples are more common and usually more transparent, such as the CCE Bottling Group is a front group for Coca-Cola.
