In
court this option is generally removed by having sworn to "tell the truth,
the whole truth, and nothing but the truth". Tactical honesty involves answering any question with exactly as much true information will make the asker think you've answered the question. If they're particularly
astute, they may use the information you left out of the last answer you gave to inspire their next question(s).
