G7 Welcoming Committee is a record label out of
Winnipeg,
Manitoba. G7 was started in 1997 by Chris and Jord of
Propagandhi, as a collective of
speakers,
writers, and
bands that shared rather radical political beliefs.
The structure of G7 is based on the principles of Parecon, or
Participatory Economics. In short, G7 has no
hierarchical divisions of labor, and so all members are equal in their decision making abilities and status.
