Useful DOS program used to
load a
Linux kernel. Can be used as the
primary loader, for those who don't wish to or can't
configure lilo to be the
bootloader.
In my experience, it's more common to use this program as a backup means of booting Linux in cases where lilo has stopped working.
Simplified syntax:
loadlin.exe kernel {root=bootdevice}
