So you want to avoid the Seven Deadly Sins...

Thanks to the 5th century Spanish poet Aurelius Clemens Prudentius, you can!

Just cultivate these Seven virtues, each one contrary to a deadly sin:

• humility to combat pride,
• kindness to stamp out envy,
• abstinence ward off gluttony,
• chastity to smite the monster of lust,
• patience to prevent anger,
• liberality to stop avarice,
• diligence proven effective in laboratory testing to stop the build-up of sloth.
