Also a critical element of the Time Warp, the pelvic thrust is gleefully performed by audience members at a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. By this point in the dance, a participant's hands should be on their hips and their knees should be drawn together. The pelvis is then pushed forward and back repeatedly and vigorously before being churned in a circle during the word insaaaaaaane. This is made much easier by watching the Transylvanians on the screen or the people dancing in the aisles around you.

I went to RHPS a number of times back in my college days, typically with the same group of friends. One of my friends was fond of saying "Group sex! Group sex!" with each thrust, but I haven't heard of this as a common element of RHPS audience participation...in my opinion, just doing the Time Warp was enough.
