Brian, quiet and studious, met
Sarah,
impetous and hyper.
They were an odd couple, but could not help
themselves.
Sarah's friends disapproved, saying Brian was
dull and boring.
Sarah laughed, muttering under her breath:
if you only knew ...
They dated casually, then formally, and then moved in
together, off campus.
When they broke up a few years later
Sarah's friends were very much-
told ya so.
But she was probably depressed,
at least for a while,
like Brian was.
I don't know for sure,
not being Sarah.
