In a drawing, two women sit close together on a church pew

heads bowed, while above them

soft light streams in from western facing windows

On a sidewalk,  couples walk by neon lights of green and red

fragrant incense from one store,  waves of newly fried food from another

open doors share music with traffic

At the end of the dock

salt air washes over a lone fisherman

a bucket of a bait and a cooler of beer

From the window of a car,

a cigarette's a falling star,
