Embracing daylight

she chooses airplane window seats

at coffee shops, she sits outside, or

by the front door

the better to view the conveyor belt of passerbys

The ever changing carousel

she says

capturing some in a sketch book

some with her phone's camera

a few with mini-stories sent to me:

A man just walked by wearng a hat the same color as his dog

She tilts her head toward early morning rays of light

the way certain flowers open up to Spring

The sun, flattered

reciprocates her affection
