it is the future now, the second hand words are everywhere and plentiful (poetry)

We were promised flying cars,  space stations

jet packs 

We were told that all ideas would be shiny and new

all inventions would be great 

Instead the future became just a revised present

a remake;  another bad sequel 

Words get to and from us faster

but they aren't better
