We dance in a circle we know by heart

two steps away

two steps in

Saying goodbye in the same way

coming back with a new version of the 

same surrender  

Thank God we don't have to follow a script

thank whoever you want that you are free to leave

I'll curse under my breath when you knock on my door 

I promise not to say I told you so

knowing you would come back

it's easier to wait for you to say it yourself
