Μεγακλω

One of the daughters of King Macar of Lesbos. As he was bad-tempered, dour, and ill-treated his wife frequently, Megaclo took the Seven Muses of Lesbos as handmaids, and taught them to sing to the lyre. Once they had been taught, the girls gave concerts to Macar; his character softened and he eventually treated his wife kindly.
