Portable C Compiler.

I don't know much about the compiler itself, but legend has it that back in the day, Ken Thompson embeded a trojan in it so that:

  1. Recompiling /bin/login inserts a backdoor
  2. Recompiling pcc inserts the trojan/backdoor-generating code
