Skia is a font. It's my favorite font.

Skia is a sans serif, proportional font, with smooth curves. I find it very easy to read, both on screen and on paper.

I've been writing a grant applications, which are almost invariably done in Times New Roman or Times font, which I find difficult to read. Skia doesn't take much more space, but introduces much more white space which keeps things easier on the eyes.

One weird thing about Skia is that the numbers descend below the letters - i.e. the lower part of the number "3" extends below, like the lower part of the letter "g". At first I found this annoying, but now I find it rather pleasant.

I had to play with the line spacing a little bit in order to make it come out right on paper, however. No problem using MS Word.
