In a node not so far from
here, mention was made that the
correct formation for a
list of three items is:
one, two, and three
- with a comma between "two" and "and".
Is this a regional issue? I was taught that conjunctions are never preceeded by a comma. Thus, the correct form for any list is:
any, number, of, items, penultimate and final.
