MIT wannabe (thing)

MIT wannabe: UC Berkeley's CS department, at least the undergraduate section. Of course the department is called EECS, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science like MIT. What else?

• Students: e.g., me. I was rejected.
• Professors: got their BS, MS, and/or PhD there, wanted to lecture there but were declined, or at least their uncle teaches there
• Curriculum: use books written at MIT by MIT professors for use by MIT classes. Example, a CS project: "Acknowledgement: This assignment is based on an MIT homework assignment in their variation of this course. But since this is Berkeley we've changed it to be politically correct; instead of killing each other, the characters go around eating gourmet food all the time."
