Ouzo may be consumed chilled, room temperature, or warmed. Warmed, it is a soothing remedy for sore throats and protection against stumbling home on a cold wintry night and catching the death of cold.

To serve warm, fill a short wine glass with hot water, swirl, empty, fill with ouzo, include a shot glass of hot water for the glass to rest leaning over to keep warm.

You may also pour hot water in with the drink, which --oo, ah--clouds the drink like pernod.

Warm ouzo may also be consumed in high quantities, each glass thrown over your head against the wall while you curse or toast the world.
